Welcome to London Initial Teacher Training

(Here you will find details and links for the LGfL provision regarding ITT students and colleges)

A variety of London colleges are part of a virtual community hosted on the LGfL network. The intention is to provide trainee teachers, currently attending a recognised Initial Teacher Training course at an ITT institution within the London region, access and use of LGfL resources, including the London MLE powered by Fronter.

The first step is to register and obtain a London Grid for Learning Unified Sign-On (USO) username and password. To obtain a USO, you must be attending or leading an ITT course recognised by the Teacher Development Agency, within the London region, and able to verify this by your use of a personal email address domiciled to your London ITT institution. A text message will also be sent to your mobile to verify your contact number.

Once obtained, the USO sign-on permits access to a wide range of premium on-line teaching and learning resources spanning the subjects of the National Curriculum and covering Key Stages 1 to 4 and the Foundation Stage. Many of the resources are ideal for use with an interactive whiteboard, or to complement your own teaching materials. See: www.lgfl.net

You will also have automatically created a guest account in the London MLE, a learning platform powered by Fronter and adopted in the majority of London Schools. Using your same LGfL USO, you will be able to login to your account at www.fronter.com/lgfl
