Welcome to the LGfL Dacta

LGfL was pleased to be the first organisation in the UK to be working with the latest Lego NXT control technology.

This online resource has been developed to support teachers in the use of NXT technology to support control technology and ICT aspects of the curriculum.

Although this project has concentrated on Key stage 2 and 3 applications, project participants have recognised the ability of the NXT to provide relavent curricular support across all key stages and across the curriculum.

The project resources and approaches differ between schools - giving a range of experiences.

The project includes the following resources:

Video content will play via windows media player

Downloadable lesson plans and schemes of work used with London Children as part of the project

Teacher diaries offer more informal reactions to using the NXT

Photographs of the NXT in action in schools

Background information

Examples of children work created as part of the project

Some schools gathered feedback from teachers and children via online forms

Sample programs to try

on your own NXT

Teacher and children review progress they have made duringthe

Feedback regarding the project content and relavence is welcomed. Click HERE to email your comments.
